#Candles4Climate Vigil

Bishop Anna and Rabbi Harry Brechner from Congregation Emanu-El, Victoria will be holding a vigil in front of their MLA's constituancy office in Victoria on Monday December 13 at 5 PM to pray for the victims of this year’s fires and floods, and to call on the government to take immediate action on climate change. The actions are outlined in a campaign #Candles4Climate organized by the BC Climate Emergency Campaign. It includes ten climate emergency actions.

St. Columba's Church will be holding a vigil in the church sanctuary at that time and invite anyone interested to join us. As this is a public event, vaccine screening (as done in restaurants) will be done upon entry and masks must be worn at all times. The event will be live streamed on our public Facebook page. 

In addition we ask you to light a candle in your window every Monday night at 8 pm until the provincial government takes the movement’s ten emergency actions. Share on social media as you see fit with hashtag #Candles4Climate.
