Syrian Refugees Coming to Canada

Belated thanks to all who attended our Syrian Refugee fundraising dinner in November. The cabbage rolls were enjoyed by over 50 people who enthusiastically supported our fundraising effort. We raised almost $900. The funds have now been sent to two other small churches in the Duncan area: St. Peter’s Quamichan, along with St. John’s Cobble Hill. They are now beginning the sponsorship process to bring a Syrian family to the Duncan area. They will keep us informed of their progress and we will update with news as we receive it.

They pass on their hearfelt thanks for the great kickstart to their sponsorship and we will continue with ways to support them.
